Orion OVC300 Cello Outfit

The ORION OVC300 features an outstanding tone and appearance. Great playability for the progressing player to advanced and experienced cellists.

The OVC300 is both an instrument and an art. Firstly, built with high grade select spruce for the top and flamed maple for back and sides. This model features accessorised ebony pegs and a lightweight tailpiece with built in fine adjusters. The OVC300 is fitted with a hand carved maple bridge, in Belgium style. The Belgium style bridge has direct vibration translation, giving the OVC300 more power and volume in its playing. 

Feel and playability is still maintained on the OVC300, with a shaped ebony fingerboard and a master set-up by our luthier. The OVC300 also features a beautiful antiqued look, which is a meticulous making process whereby this new cello is made to look worn. 

Outfit includes a padded bag and a pernumbuco wood cello bow. Default bow can be traded-up for a bow of your preference.

Each OVC300 cello is individually assembled, set up, and inspected by our experienced luthiers before the instrument leaves Crescendo Music.

Crescendo’s professional String Instrument Setup includes:

• shaping the fingerboard and nut to professional curvature
• carving and fitting the bridge to the instrument
• upgrading strings with quality studio steel strings 
• tuning the instrument
• fitting and adjusting the soundpost

Future trade-up

All ORION violins, violas, and cellos can be traded in for a different size/model. Trade-up credit value up to 40%, subject to condition.
